- The mask has an infrared heating element in the outer mask cylinder with a small ring pass-through similar in diameter to the visible “virus air intake” valve. Here we heat the air up to around 150°C. Air flows directly on this circular plate from the center to the outer rim, has to bend around and flow below the same ring on the opposite side, back to the center ring again, to pass to the next chamber. This heating ring at +/-150° will destroy any and all bacteria and airborne viruses.
- The second stage is a liquid-cooled heatsink to cool the air again for breathing purposes. Here in stage two, we cool the air to around 10-15°C. (15°C is normal atmospheric air temp.) The airflow valves, both after the heating/cooling respirator and in the front of the mask, are both one-way valves or unidirectional valves.
